It would have been great to be there! Our warmest thanks to the Longreach community – for choosing Heart of Australia as beneficiary of this year’s Landsborough Long Lunch.

In a sea of green, white and blue decorator colours, more than 100 locals joined in the lunch (October 7) to support our program and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Longreach School of Distance Education.

And why a “long” lunch? Well, all the tables at the event were named after roads along the key western link, the Landsborough Highway.

Our thanks to all who got involved, especially Sally Cooper, who heads the local organising committee and is the school P&C secretary.
