Dr Damian ends (for now) on “the best”
Travelling Cardiologist Dr Damian Roper reports a “best turnout” to end his 2017 series of Heart of Australia local medico education meetings – this one involving eight GPs, two final-year medical students and the local hospital Clinical Training Director in Longreach.
Dr Roper is one of our longest-serving on-the-road doctors. He specialises in non-invasive cardiology, particularly in echocardiology.
He says he’s in no doubt that the local education meetings are “very worthwhile” and it’s heartening (no pun intended) that all the local doctors involved are “great supporters” of the Heart of Australia program.
To round off the latest Longreach meetings, Dr Roper welcomed the locals with his seminar on “Syncope” at the Jumbuck Motel – where, he says, the end-of- session “socialising” was a great way to end his education events for now.
